Turn-by-turn directions

You start by driving east to the major road R1201 and via this to Struga and then on to the neighbouring town of Ohrid. Here you keep to the southeastern end of the city on the road P1301 in the direction of Ljubanishta and Sveti Naum. At the end of the town, a road to Velestovo branches off to the left. The start of the stage is at the upper end of Velestovo.

how did you arrange this transfer ? Hitch a car ? plan in advance ?

It depends when you are arriving at Vevcani. If it is not too late there are regular busses to Ohrid. Beside the scheduled bus connections you have to hire a cab, which is not really difficult because locals are very friendly and happy to help. PS: we strongly recommend an overnight in Vevcani which is a really outstanding rural community.

Transfer assez simple. Nous avions dormi une nuit à Vevcani puis avons pris le bus à 8h30 tout près de l'Hôtel Villa Alula. Il y a un bus toutes les heures en direction de Strugga. Ensuite à Strugga le chauffeur nous a déposé sur une grande route au bord du lac et là nous avons très vite trouvé un bus pour Ohrid! A Ohrid nous avons pris un taxi pour le début du chemin à Velestovo. NOus avons pu démarré l'étape 21 à 10h15!
